Business Plan Writing workshops are scheduled several times a year.
A choice of one- or two-day sessions is offered, each teaching the foundation
and basics of writing a comprehensive business plan specifically geared
towards the small lodging industry. The workshops are hands-on, and ideal
for potential or current owners of bed and breakfasts, country inns, motels
and boutique hotels who wish to be able to construct their own business
plan suitable for presentation to lenders or other investors.
- Introduction - The Basics of Business Planning
- Who is my
audience?

Each workshop provides personal participant
attention from instructors, with the two day sessions limited in
size to allow more comprehensive and detailed coursework. Participants
are encouraged to bring whatever materials they currently have
for preparing a business plan and a notebook computer equipped
with a wireless adapter for accessing the Internet.
- 2-Day residential workshops: $475 per person or $695 per couple (includes tuition, workbook materials, 2 nights accommodation with
breakfast, light lunch both days, snacks and refreshments, all
taxes).
- 1-Day workshops: $195 per person (includes tuition,
workbook materials, light lunch, refreshments, taxes).
Both Residential and 1-Day workshops are held at inns and
B&Bs across the country including at our own facility, the Admiral
Peary House, here in Maine.
2-day workshops start at 9:30am and end at 5pm on the first day;
9:30am and 3:00pm on the second, with morning and afternoon breaks
and an hour for lunch (included). 1-Day workshops are often organized
by state or local Innkeepers or Lodging associations and generally
run from 9am - 5pm.
